These Terms govern your use of the EAST. website, the EAST. iOS app, and the services and content made available by EAST.

EAST. is operated by Dogukan Isik.

By accessing or using the website or app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

The EAST. Website

The EAST. website is the public home of the EAST. project and provides information about the app, physical Objects, films, and the ideas behind the project.

The website does not currently provide user accounts, an internal shopping cart, or direct payment processing.

We may update, change, suspend, or remove parts of the website as the project develops.

Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the EAST. name, visual identity, writing, films, photographs, product designs, graphics, website design, app interface, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to EAST.

You may view and share links to publicly available pages for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, sell, publish, distribute, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from EAST. content without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

Third-party names, trademarks, and services remain the property of their respective owners.

EAST. iOS App

The EAST. app provides a daily reflective experience and tools for keeping selected wisdoms and personal reflections.

The app is intended for personal reflection and general wellbeing. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, religious, or other professional advice.

The app may change over time as features are refined, improved, added, or removed.

Use of the app is also subject to the licence terms applicable through Apple’s App Store. Where no separate custom licence is provided, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies.

Keeper

Keeper is an optional one-time in-app purchase made through Apple’s App Store.

The features included with Keeper are those described inside the app and on its App Store listing at the time of purchase.

Payment processing, billing, purchase history, and eligible refund requests are handled through Apple. EAST. does not directly process App Store payments or receive your full payment-card information.

Restoring Keeper requires access to the Apple account originally used to complete the purchase.

Physical Objects and Etsy

EAST. does not complete physical-product checkout or process physical-product payments on this website.

When you select View on Etsy, you leave the EAST. website and continue to Etsy. Your use of Etsy, checkout, payment, and Etsy account are governed by Etsy’s applicable terms and policies.

The relevant Etsy listing contains the final price, available options, production information, estimated delivery details, shipping terms, and any applicable shop policies.

An order is not placed merely by viewing an Object on the EAST. website. A physical-product order is created only when checkout is completed successfully through Etsy.

Prices and Product Information

Prices displayed on the EAST. website are provided for general information.

The final price, currency, discounts, taxes, shipping costs, and total amount payable are confirmed on Etsy before checkout is completed.

We aim to present product descriptions, measurements, materials, colours, and images accurately. However, colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting, and display settings.

Availability and product information may change. If information shown on the EAST. website differs from the active Etsy listing, the information shown on Etsy at checkout will apply to that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Made-to-Order Production

Physical Objects may be produced after an order is placed and may be fulfilled by a production partner.

Estimated production and delivery dates are shown through Etsy. Delivery estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by carriers, customs procedures, weather, or circumstances outside reasonable control.

This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

Cancellations, Returns and Order Issues

Cancellation, return, replacement, and refund conditions for physical Objects are set out in the relevant Etsy listing and applicable Etsy shop policies.

For an issue concerning an Etsy order, contact EAST. through the Etsy order or messaging system so that the purchase can be identified and reviewed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any mandatory cancellation, refund, warranty, or consumer rights that apply in your country.

External Services

The website may contain links to or content provided through third-party services, including Etsy, Apple, YouTube, IMDb, Netlify, Sanity, and Printify.

These services operate independently and are governed by their own terms, policies, and availability.

EAST. is not responsible for the general operation, content, security, or availability of third-party services, except for responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

• interfere with the website or app
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
• introduce malicious code
• use automated tools to overload or disrupt the services
• impersonate EAST. or another person
• use EAST. content in a misleading, unlawful, or commercially exploitative way
• infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, app, users, or project.

Availability and Disclaimer

We aim to keep the website and app available and functioning correctly, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.

The website, app, and their content are provided on an “as available” basis, subject to any warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

EAST. is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on reflective, philosophical, or editorial content provided through the website or app.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EAST. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising solely from the use of, or inability to access, the website or app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or other non-excludable obligations.

Privacy

The handling of personal information is described in the EAST. Privacy Policy.

Third-party services, including Apple and Etsy, process information under their own privacy policies.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when the website, app, Objects experience, third-party services, or applicable requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use after an update means that the revised Terms apply from their effective date, except where additional notice or consent is required by law.
